Desktop Study & Strategic Planning: Every project begins with a thorough review of existing asset data, GIS records, and historical information. We develop a detailed survey plan and a site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) to ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the public.
Site Establishment & Data Acquisition: Our certified field teams establish a safe work zone in compliance with all NRSWA (New Roads and Streets Works Act) regulations. We then deploy a suite of advanced technology to capture a complete picture of your asset’s condition and performance:
High-Definition CCTV Crawlers: Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras are guided through pipelines and culverts to capture crystal-clear visual data, identifying cracks, blockages, and defects. All inspections are carried out to OS19X and OS20X standards.
Laser Profiling & Sonar: In larger pipes or where flow cannot be stopped, we attach laser profilers and sonar units to our crawlers. This allows us to accurately measure pipe deformation, ovality, and quantify the volume of silt or debris, even below the water line.
Flow & Level Monitoring: For performance assessments, particularly on CSOs, we deploy calibrated sensors to log real-world data on flow rates, spill duration, and frequency over a set period.
GNSS/GPS Surveying: The precise surface location of every manhole, chamber, and key asset feature is recorded and tied to the Ordnance Survey National Grid.
Data Analysis & Quality Assurance: Raw data is transferred to our in-house technicians who meticulously review and analyse the findings. Using specialised software, they code all defects according to the industry-standard Manual of Sewer Condition Classification (MSCC5), ensuring the data is consistent, reliable, and ready for integration into your asset management systems.
